Richard Perez, DPM, FACFAS
Originally from Medellin, Colombia, Dr. Richard Perez grew up in Florida and studied Biology at The Florida State University. Dr. Perez received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University. Dr. Perez completed a residency and fellowship in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery with special emphasis on trauma at Broadlawns Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Richard Perez serves as adjunct clinical professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio.
He has lectured nationally on various aspects of cutting edge surgical techniques; leveraging technology, processes, logistics and clinical protocols to achieve improved patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
Dr. Perez’s areas of clinical interest include: bunion surgeries which emphasize early mobility and optimal cosmetic appearance, minimally invasive trauma reconstruction, sports injuries and plantar fasciitis. His treatment philosophy is to deliver timely and comprehensive care, utilizing non-surgical means whenever possible and to design an individualized care plane for each patient bases on the latest research and science. Dr. Perez speaks both English and Spanish.
Dr. Perez lives in King William. He is an avid cyclist and can usually be found pedaling the mission trials on the weekends.
