Richard Pollak, DPM, MS
Dr. Richard Pollak has served the San Antonio area for over 37 years. Dr. Pollak is the key opinion leader in podiatry conditions such as toenail fungus, athlete’s foot, and diabetic foot ulcers and is on the advisory board for numerous pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Richard Pollak’s journey began as a child when he saw a gangrene infection which resulted in his grandmother losing all ten toes. Taking an interest in podiatry, Dr. Pollak graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts in 1973, and he graduated with honors from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1977. He also received a Master of Science degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. He has worked in the field of podiatry to become the most renowned podiatrist for clinical and pharmaceutical research within the United States. He is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and he is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
His activities go beyond his podiatry practice. Along with serving on various boards and associations, he has authored and co-authored numerous scientific articles in authoritative medical journals and has had the pleasure of becoming a noted national lecturer. Dr. Pollak also has been the principal clinical investigator in over 135 clinical trials.
He lives in the community he serves, San Antonio, with his wife and three children. Outside interests include socializing with friends, quality family time, going out to dinner, golfing, jogging, and skiing.
